Easy way to speed up Windows Xp

Backup first any important file/data before doing this to avoid things undesirable.
Don't do this if not accompanied by an expert. Risk on your own.

  1. Run services.msc - Start , Run , type services.msc
    Turn off or disable this useless service ...

    SSDP Discovery Service
    Telnet Themes
    Uninterruptible Power Supply
    Universal Plug and Play Device Host
    Upload Manager

  2. Delete all file in  C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch  (not the folder)

  3. Right click My Computer icon on the desktop , properties , advance , perfomance setting. Then choose Adjust Best performance. ok

  4. Reboot computer and see the results.
